Job Summary

Under the direction and supervision of the Quality Manager, the Quality Compliance Specialist provides assistance in assessing and following up on compliance activities, performance improvement initiatives, and risk reduction strategies through collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) members and contracted providers.

Essential Functions and Work Responsibilities

Functional Category: Quality Improvement

Estimated Percent of time Spent 70%

Reviews and monitors outcomes that promote compliance with the Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement Program (QAPI).

Facilitates improvement in response to compliance audits, satisfaction surveys and focus studies incorporating Best Practice Standards.

Administers Annual Participant/Caregiver Satisfaction Survey.

Completes surveys, tracks trends and assists with data analysis.

Participates on the Infection Control Committee

Conducts Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) and Assisted Living Facility (ALF) site surveys to assure compliance with individual care plans and related regulatory requirements.

Assists with identification and development of educational presentations for employees, participants and their caregivers, and outside vendors.

Supports customer satisfaction through grievance follow-up and random visits with participants on site .

Job Qualifications

Bachelors degree in health related field or Nursing License

Work Experience and Qualifications


Minimum of at least three (3)years working with Quality/Performance Improvement in healthcare related environment.

Demonstrated success with Performance Improvement Initiatives

Licensure, Certification, Registration or Designation


Nursing License

Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality

Other Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required
